Academy of Travel and Tourism The Academy of Travel and Tourism is a nationally recognized program. Students learn about the travel and tourism industry by taking industry-related courses and participating in paid internships within travel, hospitality, and tourism industries. These industries range from corporate travel agencies to hotels. Students receive classroom instruction using nationally-developed curriculum that is combined with workplace experience, field trips to local industries, and seminars by guest speakers from various businesses. An industry advisory board advises schools on the curriculum and assists them with guest speakers, tours, and internship placements.
